Menu Plan Monday-2011 Week 8
Last week, I stumbled upon a really neat budget calculator thingie from CNBC. You input your monthly take home pay and it tells you how much you should be spending on each of seven different categories. If you’re having budget issues, you can look for where your spending is out of whack in relation to the model and try to adjust.
Our food budget? NOT the recommended 14% folks. It comes in at 25% of our take home pay. This just isn’t acceptable! At ALL! So, I need to work a little harder and working sales and stocking up on on good priced items to get our food cost down.
Did you try the Garlic Cheddar Chicken I posted last week? If not, you SHOULD. It’s soooo good.
