Top Five Guilty Pleasures
I’m indulging in one as I write this post.
There are things I do to escape reality a little bit or things that I just like because they make my happy. What are YOUR guilty pleasures? Here’s mine:
1) Justin Timberlake.
I’ve told the girlies that if things ever go sour with Big Daddy, JT is going to be their new daddy. ;) He’s cute, talented, funny, a good singer and a great dancer. A quintuple threat! If I’m having a bad day, a Justin Timberlake song, cranked up really loud, can turn my day around.
2) The Vampire Diaries.
I don’t like the books nearly as much as the show. Witches and warewolves and Vampires! And two HOT vampires fighting over the brooding (but not overly emo) Elaina? Wonderful. I like Twilight, but I like this better.
I was in choir starting in 8th grade. Glee is how I WISHED choir was actually like. I LOVE the music (it pollutes my iPod). I love the show. I love the serious and cheesey storylines equally. I love, love LOVE Mr. Schuster. Is it any wonder that Rachel had a brief, Lolita-esque crush on him?
4) Icing in a can.
Look, I know that it’s basically chemicals with some unnatural flavoring, but I adore frosting in a can. Vanilla. Chocolate. Strawberry. Funfetti. Buttercream. Whipped. I don’t like to eat it on anything. Just off of a spoon.
5) Fast Food French Fries dipped in sweet and sour sauce
I have a rating scale.
1) Wendy’s fries and sweet and sour sauce
2) McDonald’s fries and sweet and sour sauce
3) Burger King fries and sweet and sour sauce will do in a pinch.
That is the order in which I prefer to eat them, if I have my druthers. It’s not good for you. It’s crammed with fat and carbs and sodium and probably glue, but the sweet and sour and salty is so good mixed all up together. It’s too bad I already made dinner tonight…
