What Happens At Naptime-January ’11 edition
This is the view from the rocking chair.
This is where I rock the baby so I can find the two hours a day I get to myself. Sometimes, I read during that time. Sucking up the books like a milkshake. Sometimes I watch t.v. and sometimes I’m crafty.
This is what happened during January’s crafty moments.
I finally finished the valence for the Princess’s bathroom. The previous valance (green and white checked) did NOT go with her brown and turquoise shower curtain and accessories, but this valance does.
It’s not quite as long as I’d like, but it covers the hardware for the blind and…it took every inch of fabric I have, so it’ll do pig. It’ll do.
I hung up these adorable spice racks that are serving as book shelves in the little girls room. I got the idea from Domestic Simplicity who was featured on OhDeeDoh. These shelves can be easily taken off the wall for when we’re ready to paint the Little Girls’ room this year.
I finished Big Daddy’s Christmas slippers. I ran out of time before Christmas and he didn’t mind waiting. These are the Fuzzy Feet pattern from Knitty. They’re a great way to learn how to knit socks in the round. Felting will erase a multitude of mistakes. Don’t forget, to felt you have to knit with 100% animal fiber and NOT superwash.
I’d show you a picture, but I can’t find them, so you’ll have to trust me that I made them. ;)
I’m happy to say, that I’ve finished as many projects in February, already, as I did all January long. It’s going to be a seriously craft month!
