The stomch flu? And the menu plan.
Littlebit is sick.
She’s tucked on the couch, sipping pop and watching all the movies her little brain can take in. We’ve watched Megamind and the Muppets and Eloise. I’m hoping that this doesn’t work it’s way through the entire family and I’m also hoping it manages to skip Baby Bee. Baby Bee doesn’t do the stomach flu well at ALL and it basically means I wear vomit for the duration of her illness.
Since we moved to OH in June of 2010, we’ve had the stomach flu twice as a family with the kids having small bouts as well. We’d only had the stomach flu once as a family the 10 years prior with the Princess catching it a time or two on her own. I’m starting to think Ohio has it out for me.
It’s hard to see, but Baby Bee is laying on top of Juno. The both must have thought Littlebit needed some extra love. I’m hoping that everyone will be healthy for this next week because we are busy. But, here’s the menu plan
Six Sisters Pot Roast Sliders (carry over from last week) and sweet potato fries
Big Daddy is making chili. He’s picking the recipe and the process, so I get to sit back and enjoy. I’ll bake some corn bread though because chili is better with cornbread.
Garlic Cheddar Chicken with Briami ( a big favorite some time ago, but we haven’t eaten it since. A must try for warm, oven baked comfort food that isn’t too unhealthy)
Chicken Spaghetti Casserole (we don’t eat pasta very often any more. I don’t want to say never, but it’s rare. Less than once a month. Sometimes, though, it’s nice to have a pasta dish as a treat)
It could be date night. That depends on Auntie Awesome. If it’s not date night, we may order in pizza
Family movie night. Stay tuned for the fun!
Whole smoked chicken and accompanying goodies.
We’re packed full this week and it seems as though we will be until I have my gall bladder out in mid-November. Hope you’re enjoying the amazing fall weather!
