In Full Swing–And the Menu Plan!
The girls are all back in school now and Monday through Thursday I have three whole hours all to myself. I miss the girls, especially Baby Bee who has been my sole companion since Littlebit when off to school four years ago. Baby Bee had a rough transition into school last year. She was so unhappy. I know that sending her off with a kiss and a smile is the right thing to do, but it broke my heart every time I had to leave her as she cried. I have full faith in Baby Bee’s teachers and therapists and they helped ease her into school and I am so grateful for that. You have no idea.
And, gosh darn it, I just love teachers in general. Teachers, I hope your year is off to a good start. Let me speak for the moms who are like me when I say that I’m so grateful to have such wonderful people to send my girls off to every day. During the school year, you see about as much of them as I do, and it makes me so happy when they come home happy and full of learning.
And Littlebit likes math and I want you to all think about that for a while because that is awesome! That’s a random factoid, but after struggling with math myself and with the Princess’s struggles, having a kid who likes math and is good at it is all kinds of awesome.
We scrapped our plans on Sunday. The local store had turkey breasts on sale and Big Daddy didn’t have to be convinced for very long to brine and smoke it. Of course, after having a lovely, big dinner on Sunday, we had leftover turkey.
