Workout of the Month-October

Starting this month, I’m showcasing a new feature where, to motivate myself and possibly inspire you, I’m going to posting my planned exercise. I acknowledge that, right now, I’m a beginner and if you’re more fit than me, you’re probably well beyond where I’m at.

Exercise is really hard for me. I just don’t like it and it’s really hard for me to push through the dislike for long enough to create a habit. I’m hoping by posting here, for accountability, that it will motivate me to push forward and make working out a habit.

I’ll be posting my results (inches lost) at the end of the month.

So, what’s my plan–exercising a minimum of 40 minutes per day, six days a week using the following exercises.

Option 1-20 minutes of cardio via walking or the elliptical, 20 minutes of stretching/strength training via FitnessGlo.com*. I plan to alternate a core/legs and destressing/neck shoulder routine with a core/upper body and arm routine

Option 2: 20 minutes of Cardio at the Y followed by 20 minutes of machines

Option 3-45 minute class at the Y.

For those of you keeping track, this nets me 5 Weight Watchers activity points per day.

Starting in November, I’ll be adding 1 Pinterest work out and reporting on the results. Can you really lose 4 inches off of each arm in a month? I’ll try it out and let you know.
