Don’t Hate-AND the menu plan

The Halloween decorations came down this weekend.  I want to put the Christmas decorations up, but I’ll refrain for a little bit.  People seem to get annoyed that once Halloween is over, Christmas begins in earnest.  I want to assure you that, despite being in a Christmas state of mind, I haven’t forgotten Thanksgiving.  Not in the least.  But, Christmas is something special to me and to turn out a Christmas up to my expectations and hopes, it takes more than just 24 days in December to make it work.

I don’t want you to think it should take YOU More than 24 days, but it takes ME longer than that.  Christmas is expensive, and I try to spread out of the spending.  Christmas is also time consuming, so I try to spread out the work.  My goal over year is to be done with Christmas work a week before so I can actually enjoy the holiday.  This year, I’ll aim to shut down the work on 12/20 with nothing left but cookie baking and gluttony.

So, try to go easy on the people who put up their trees early and deck the halls as soon as they toss the pumpkins.

Thursday Crock Pot Tomato Ravioli Soup

Friday Lettuce wrapped turkey burgers with oven baked fries (still trying to perfect that technique!  I think I’m close!)

Saturday Open as we may get into an adventure and end up eating out.

Sunday Feeling the urge to cook something slow that’s very complicated.  I’ll update you when I figure out what that is.
